Truck Taxi started January 15th 2016; we are state licensed, commercially insured, and serves all of Jacksonville.
Compared to ordinary truck rental services #TruckTaxi is more convenient, efficient, and affordable. Presently, a move experience takes 6 steps with ordinary truck rental services, but only 2 steps with us. We submit the following for your consideration:
Ordinary truck rental service:
1) you call the truck rental service make an appointment to get a truck then you go to the truck rental center to pick-up a truck,
2) you take the truck home to load the truck,
3) you take the truck to your new home to unload the truck,
4) you take the truck to a gas station to gas-up the truck,
5) you take the truck back to the truck rental center to drop-off the truck,
and
6) you drive your car to your new home
Truck Taxi service:
1) you call us, we go to you with the truck, you load the truck,
and
2) we go to your destination and you unload the truck -- DONE!
Truck Taxi is available from 7am to 10pm EVERY DAY. Our average response time is 30 mins (although we have a 2 hour window).
We only charge $6 p/mile (min fee $20); we provide flat rates for 10+ miles, and we will BEAT any comparable quote from Uhaul, Ryder, or Budget.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The owner started a business call Trucks for Rent about 8 years ago to help in the marketing of the board game Armis, that concept was refined recently and named Truck Taxi.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
U-Haul is the primary competition in the residential truck rental service business we distinguish ourselves from them in a major way in that we bring the truck directly to the customer and drive the truck for the customer which enables the customer to experience 2 step residential move instead of a 6 step residential move with U-Haul.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Truck Taxi currently is one truck in one city in one state and one country however we do have plans for major expansion and for that to take place in the near future.
Trruck Taxi is a new concept in transportation which should easily grow around America and many other countries around the world
